WHAT ARE THE
INSPIRATIONS FOR DOMAINE?
The first inspiration is the city itself. We created Domaine to be a landmark and a visual anchor on the Northeast slope of Queen Anne Hill. As they created the design, the architectural team from Mithun honed in on classic modernism as a fitting theme for this neighborhood.
The second inspiration is Seattle’s strong organization around interesting neighborhoods. Domaine is at the center of six of Seattle’s coolest neighborhoods. Many within walking or biking distance. Others less than five minutes by car or scooter. And the neighborhood continues inside Domaine with the recreated tree-lined Birch Avenue, extensive landscaping and plazas, bocce ball court and places to gather anchored by Club Domaine. It’s our neighborhood within.
Our third architectural inspiration is the views. From many of the residences, views open to Lake Union, the Cascades and the twinkling lights of the city skyline. It’s a 24/7 scene of activity. Other residences enjoy views of the garden courtyards and their own private decks or patios. Year’round Domaine is a beautiful place to be.
